PV Nelson is a researcher who has been honored as a Fellow by the American Society of Horticultural Science (ASHS) for his contributions to the field of horticulture and sustainable agriculture.

The American Society of Horticultural Science (ASHS) is a professional organization dedicated to advancing horticultural research and education. The ASHS is composed of over 2,500 members from around the world and is committed to promoting the development and adoption of sustainable horticultural practices.

Paul Nelson was a Professor Emeritus at the University of California, Davis, and a key figure in the development and promotion of the Integrated Aqua-Vegetable System (IAVS).

Nelson was a renowned horticulturist and was known for his work on greenhouse operation and management. Nelson's involvement with the IAVS system began in the 1980s when he provided greenhouse space for the research. Nelson provided the greenhouse space for the iAVs research in 1985 and continued to support iAVs as a valued advisor, mentor, and co-author through the ensuing ten years.

His contributions to the development and promotion of iAVs have been significant and have helped to establish iAVs as a viable and sustainable method of agriculture.
