This is an old revision of the document!

Pre-Requisites

The content of the iAVs Wiki should not be thought of as a replacement for learning essential disciplines such as biology, chemistry, horticulture, fish metabolism and physiology, etc

Biology

Biology is the study of living organisms and their interactions with each other and their environment.

iAVs systems rely on a complex interplay of biological processes to convert fish waste into plant-available nutrients. Understanding the biology behind these processes is essential for maintaining a healthy and productive system.

Chemistry

Chemistry is the study of matter, its properties, composition, structure, and behavior.

iAVs systems rely on a delicate balance of chemical processes to maintain optimal conditions for fish and plants. Understanding the chemistry behind these processes is essential for maintaining a healthy and productive system.

Commerce

Commerce involves buying or selling goods or services in exchange for money.

Controlled Environments

Controlled environments are areas where environmental conditions such as temperature can be regulated to suit a particular purpose.

Cultivation Techniques

Cultivation techniques involve methods used to grow plants in an optimal way for maximum yield while minimizing damage from pests or disease-causing agents like fungi or bacteria.

Fish Metabolism

Fish metabolism refers to how fish use energy sources such as food for growth and development; it also includes processes related to digestion, respiration rate changes due to water temperature fluctuations etc..

Horticulture

Horticulture is the science and art of growing plants for food, beauty, and recreation. It involves the study of plant physiology, soil science, pest management, and other related fields. Horticulture is an important pre-requisite for iAVS operators as it provides a foundation for understanding how plants grow and what they need to thrive. iAVS operators need to have a basic understanding of horticulture in order to successfully grow crops using this system. They need to know how to select appropriate plant varieties, how to prepare soil or growing media, how to manage pests and diseases, and how to provide adequate nutrition and water. Understanding horticulture also helps iAVS operators troubleshoot problems that may arise in their system. In addition to traditional horticultural practices, iAVS operators also need to understand the unique aspects of growing plants in an aquatic environment. They need to know how to manage water quality parameters such as pH, dissolved oxygen levels, and nutrient concentrations. They also need to understand the interactions between fish and plants in the system. Overall, a solid understanding of horticulture is essential for iAVS operators who want to successfully grow crops using this innovative system.

Physiology

Physiology deals with the functioning of living organisms at all levels - from cells up through organs systems - including how they interact with one another within an organism's body as well as between different species in an ecosystem context .

iAVs sandgardening combines these disciplines into a single system that allows users without specialized knowledge on any individual area mentioned above (biology chemistry commerce controlled environments cultivation techniques fish metabolism physiology)to successfully cultivate both plants & fishes together sustainably
